Elk TCR Advanced-frame wordt door Giant met de hand gebouwd. De frames hebben een innovatieve en bewezen Compact Road-
geometrie en zijn opgetrokken uit lichtgewicht Advanced-grade composite-materiaal. Lichtgewicht, stijf, snel accelererend en voorzien van Giant’s OverDrive 2 balhoofdbuisontwerp voor scherp stuurgedrag en precieze handling. De MegaDrive onder- en bovenbuiscombinatie geeft samen met het PowerCore bottom bracket een messcherp en superefficiënt rijgedrag dat vaak geïmiteerd, maar nooit overtroffen is.

Elektronisch schakelen
Alweer
een tijdje op de markt, maar toch nog relatief onbekend bij velen is de
elektronische groep van Shimano. De Shimano DI2 werd gelanceerd voor de
Dura-Ace groep, maar begint nu ook voor aantrekkelijker tarieven
beschikbaar te komen in Ultegra Di2. De 105 groep van Shimano moet het
nog zonder elektronica stellen. Concurrent Campagnolo komt in 2012 met
een elektronische variant op de markt.

RideSense – Giant’s neat ANT+ sensor solution
What is it?
RideSense is Giant’s neat solution for sending cadence (how fast your cranks are rotating) and speed data to any ANT+ device. RideSense is already equipped on many 2013 Giant models with an ergonomic RideSense sensor that fits inside the chainstay.
Some Giant models are ‘RideSense compatible’ – these have a slot in the chainstay for a RideSense sensor. The sensor picks up info from a magnet on the inside of the crank (cadence) and a magnet on the spoke (speed) and transmits this wirelessly to your ANT+ device.
ANT+ Sensor for bikes that don’t have RideSense;
You can still send data to any ANT+ device, even if you don’t have a bike with RideSense – simply fit Giant’s 2 – in – 1 Sensor and you will be able to transmit speed and cadence. For those lucky enough to have a separate Winter bike or training bike this enables you to use one computer with ‘dual bike recording’ to track stats on your new bike with integrated Ridesense, and your training bike fitted with the 2 in 1 Sensor.
Connecting your iPhone to RideSense;
There is already a choice of products for integrating your iPhone with Giant's RideSense and ANT+ Heart Rate belt.

This handy adapter lets you use ANT+ sensors and accessories, such as heart rate monitor, foot pod and speed/cadence sensor, with the Garmin Fit smartphone apps.
You can get the Wahoo, Digifit or a Garmin ANT+ plug ins. They all plug
in to the bottom of your phone and they all offer speed, cadence and
heart rate which will work with Giants RideSense and our Heart Rate Belt
and anything else ANT+ (including Giant's 2-in-1 Sensor)
